With over 20 mobile service engineers and eight office-based support staff working five days a week, we ensure that maintenance on all of the equipment we look after is cost-effective to our customers and of the very highest standard. The 27 well-equipped mobile service vans ensure that our highly trained and experienced mobile service engineers have the tools and parts required to get the job done.

We have the capacity to service and maintain all forklift trucks and warehouse equipment across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent, and London.

Our Unique Service Management System

All records and management of completed service work are stored on our Service & Fleet Management System. Our customers are given a unique username and password to access the SFMS which allows them to view all of the service history and schedule, costs, and certificates for individual piece of material handling equipment. This provides a complete transparency.

Breakdowns to Service Schedules and Much More

Type A Service Scheduling

The most cost-effective method of maintaining your material handling equipment and getting ahead of serious faults is with our Type A services, with which you are placed on a rolling schedule. Every 6 or 12 months, a specialised field service engineer will attend your site to:  

  • Replace filters. 
  • Top up relevant oils.
  • Clean and check internal components. 

This gives our support team a clear insight into potential future issues, allowing us to proactively address problems that could impact your operations in the future. 

 

CFTS Thorough Examinations

Here at Fork Truck Direct, we have the capacity and technical expertise to ensure that all the equipment we maintain meets government standards for workplace health and safety. Our automated scheduling system allows us to plan CFTS Thorough Exams annually, providing our customers with the assurance that their equipment is compliant with the legislature. 

Breakdown Callouts

With a dedicated team of over 20 Field Service Engineers, 27 fully-equipped vans, and 8 experienced service coordinators covering 4 counties, you can be confident that breakdown callouts and repairs will be handled swiftly and efficiently. With Fork Truck Direct, you can rest assured that whenever issues arise, assistance will be promptly available.

Workshop Repairs

When extensive repairs are needed, our customers rely on our ability and facilities to restore their equipment to full working order. That's why we have our Unit 18 building in South Woodham Ferrers, which comprises of multiple bays capable of accommodating equipment of all sizes, from pallet trucks to side-loaders. Our dedicated workshop engineers and office-based transportation team handle everything from collection and delivery to all the steps in between.
